Volunteering
Join our Friends of the Library group, which meets monthly on the third Thursday at 7 PM. The friends group plans fundraising events for the library, such as bake sales, raffles, and our annual Touch-a-Truck event. Feel free to come to a meeting!
If you’re interested in volunteering at the library on a weekly basis, ask for an application at the circulation desk. If you need hours for National Honor Society, school community service, etc. please let us know.
All volunteers 18 years or older need to have their Act 33 & Act 34 clearances, which are free for volunteers, and FBI fingerprinting, which costs $27. The library may be able to assist you with financial aid. We will be happy to assist you with these forms.
Possible volunteer duties include:
- Shelving books
- Assisting at the circulation desk
- Preparing crafts for storytime
- Teaching a computer class
- Fundraising
Each April, we hold a volunteer appreciation event!
