50 Book Challenge

Challenge yourself to read 50 books in one year! Avalon and Andrew Bayne Memorial Library are joining forces to offer a prize to anyone who reads 50 books between 1/1/2018 and 12/31/2018. Anyone who completes the challenge will also be entered into a drawing for the grand prize. Eligible reading material includes all adult fiction and non-fiction (print, audiobooks, and ebooks), graphic novels, and young adult books. Magazines, newspapers, and children’s books do not qualify. Sign up at either library and pick up a book log.

Prompts for January 11:

Write a 400 word story about a pair of mittens.

Write a story about a mug of hot chocolate that is never empty.

January 25 is a Free Write.

Drawing Club

Every Thursday at 4:30 PM – Conference Room (Downstairs)

Work on a drawing or coloring project in a supportive environment with other enthusiasts.

Read 50 books from now until December 31 and receive a prize when you complete the challenge.

All participants who complete the challenge will also be entered to enter a grand prize (TBD) and invited to a reception.

Fill out the registration form and turn it in at the circulation desk.

Be sure to track everything you read on this handy log and turn it in when you’ve read 50 items.

All adult fiction and non-fiction books count, as well as audiobooks, e-books, graphic novels, and young adult books.
