Avalon offers a range of programming for the adults in the community, including several book clubs, creative groups, and computer classes.  Whether you’re 25 or 75, see what we’re planning!

Creative Groups

Drawing Club meets every Thursday at 4:30 PM in the conference room.  Artists of all skill levels are welcome!

Writers’ Group meets on alternating Thursdays at 5:30 PM in the conference room.  Each session has 1 or 2 prompts to get your creative juices flowing.

Stitch & Chat Needle-craft Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 10 AM in the conference room.  All levels are welcome!

Book Groups


We offer three different book groups throughout the month.  The community  group reads a variety of genres. New members are welcome at any time!

Mystery Book Group meets the first Saturday of each month at 10:30 AM in the reading room.

Community Book Group meets the second Monday of each month at 11:15 AM at the YMCA Community Center.

Paranormal Book Group meets the last Saturday of each month at 10:30 AM in the reading room.

Film Screenings

Join us each month in our conference room for a  just-released film.  We have 3 screenings total per film during the last week of each month: 1 PM on the last Friday and 10 AM and 1 PM on the last Saturday.



Join Janice and other local seniors for a rousing game of bingo on the second Thursday of each month at 2 PM in the conference room.

Wednesday Walk

Go for a walk every Wednesday at 10 AM!  We meet outside of the YMCA Community Center and walk to the CVS in Bellevue and back.
