And now one of their allies needs help only they can give. A powerful attorney with a cut-throat reputation, Lizzie Fox has just taken on a high-profile new client–Lily Flowers, the Madam of a high-end bordello operating under the guise of a summer camp.

The chips–a.k.a. the prominent Washington politicians who frequent the bordello–are stacked against Lily and her girls. But one phone call to the Sisterhood might just swing the vote. And soon, even the highest courts in the land will prove no match for seven fearless friends determined to ensure that real justice is served, Sisterhood style.”

This contest is sponsored by the Allegheny County Library Association, the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures.

Make a creative project (art, music, video, literature) in response to one of her books or an approved title.  You can draw a picture, write a story, compose a song, anything artistic and creative!

NOTE: Songs and videos must be saved on a CD or DVD for judging.

Projects can be made by an individual or a group of no more than 5 participants.

Projects and entry forms are due at Avalon by September 15.  If you need a new entry form, we have extras at the desk.

2 Avalon entries will be selected by Avalon staff to move on to the next round (entire North region).

1 North region entry will be selected as the winner of the private meet-and-greet.  5 total winners will attend the meet-and-greet (1 each from the 4 cardinal directions and the city proper).

The Top 10 entries county-wide will receive tickets to Kate’s lecture at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh in Oakland on October 15.

Other entries may be chosen to be displayed at the lecture.

Winners will be notified in early October.
